All you have to do is:

1. Open Finder

2. Go to applications on the left

3. Drag MacKeeper Icon to trash

4. Empty trash

It will then prompt you to either buy the full version (no thanks!) or uninstall it. Just click uninstall and OK.

Then you are all set. Took 2 seconds and you didn't have to download any random unknown apps or follow any unknown links.

Let me know if this works for anyone! :-)

Here is the simple and perfect way to uninstall mackeeper from your mac.

www.adwaremedic.com

1- Put the mac keeper to trash from your application folder.

2- Empty trash.

3- Download the software from www.adwaremedic.com

during installation this will find some files and ask you to delete . you should proceed to delete all.

4- The go to your browser and clear history. safari, google or any other browser.

5- Restart your computer and you will be relax by seeing that their will be no remaining of mac keeper or any other pop up etc.

The software is free for ever and no registration is required to download.

Actually, just for clarification, AdwareMedic will not remove MacKeeper. It will remove adware that is often responsible for displaying MacKeeper ad pop-ups in your browser, but it will not remove the actual MacKeeper application. As bad as MacKeeper is, it's not actually adware, and thus not something that AdwareMedic should remove.

So, if you're seeing MacKeeper ads, AdwareMedic should help. But if you actually installed MacKeeper, AdwareMedic will not help with that.
