Q: New iTunes security questions

Hello,

iTunes is now asking me to fill in 3 security questions: http://s19.postimage.org/5jz0q6pr7/apple_sec_ques.jpg

1. How can i still use iTunes store and NOT use these security questions?

Why would i not want to use them? Well, i prefer to use a password only i know, not use insecurity questions like "whats your first car?" It's not hard for a whole bunch of people to know that one. Setting these insecurity questions is just giving anyone that vaguely knows me free and easy assess to my account. I DO NOT WANT THAT!

2. How do i make iTunes stop asking my account password every time i want to play songs, download something, or do basically anything in iTunes? It's really irritating to have to put in my password 50 times a week (and nobody else uses this computer.)

Workaround, just make up answers like:

    ....1

    ....2

    ....3

Well, you can guess what I would like to replace the dot with ... a four letter word ...

Or use a password of yours and just add 1/2/3.     I tried putting 3 times the same answer, does not work, so adding 1, 2, 3 is the way to go. Apple, you are the king of security :-)

I have been a Mac owner forever, enjoyed the freedom of buying from iTunes. Those days seem gone. I, too, resent the questions. (Certainly cuts down on that late-night impulsive buying! Thanks, Apple, for looking our for us!)

Onward to other sites, real CDs, or, wow, imagine, do without. Once again, Apple is taking care of us, saving us from spending through iTunes. But, hey, gee, the fun is gone!!!

Just download it onto your ipod or iphone if it is not working on your computer.

Not sure if this helps, but I submitted a defect report. On Nov. 6, I received a response stating that the security questions had been updated/improved.

Sounds like ther are still a number of less than ideal questions, but Apple seems to be listening and making some changes.

On my school iPad, I've been trying to access where on iTunes I need to go to get to the three security questions. Before I can buy an app, I have to enter my Apple password, which is fine. Then, another box pops up saying I need three security questions for added security, which would be no problem except that when I click "Okay," it just makes me enter in my Apple password again! So, until this is fixed, I can't buy any apps! Please, whether or not you're from Apple, if you know of a way to fix this, tell me!

We got my daughter an iphone 4s for Xmas.  When we tried to purchase an album from itunes, we go the security questions - ONES WE NEVER PROVIDED ANSWERS FOR I N THE FIRST PLACE.

I logged onto my apple ID to set or change these questions, and I was presented with the same questions (i.e., ones I never provided answers for).  Now I'm locked out of my own ID.

I really think Apple just doesn't care anymore.

Our next phone will not be an iphone.

The hardware is a wonder, the software and support are becoming embarassing.

I bought my partner an iPhone 5 for Christmas and she tried to download an app but got the dreaded 3 questions.

To fix it I signed into her account on iTunes, ensured that the iphone was authorised to purchase apps and found that she hadn't registered a card for purchases. She entered her card details and tried to download the app again. This time she just had to confirm her card details for purchases from that device and she doesn't get the questions anymore. Hope this helps

How did you ensure the iphone was authorized topuchase apps?  I've found over the holidays the servers went down seeral times allowing me to get apps downloaded to my ipad without me touching any of my computers.

I dont know why (may be its because i am living in Austria), but today it was the first time i came in touch with these security questions, with my wife`s ipad.

She had to set up ther questions: We decided to write them dowm somewhere because we want to be sure to have entered them correctly. and to confirm that for later use.

My children purchase very often from itunes with "itunes bonus" and they were not confronted to such questions so far.

My question is: Will these 3 security questions to be answered on each purchase or are they made  for resetting the password in case one fogot it?

I never picked any security questions but then when I go to buy an app it asks me for them when they have never offered me to have them. Then It says I need to call them to help me with the situation.
