Answer's in the manual. Or, you can use the help menu. Good luck.

BTW, just out of curiosity, I was wondering why are you working with Logic Pro? Why did you decide to buy it to do your audio production?

Edgar. No one cares how you feel about "learning these days". After Googling and having the same question, it was nice to have people who weren't jaded on this forum.

Yeah man.... I agree, knowledge is useless dude, it's much easier to sponge off others who've taken the time to actually learn something, for that matter why bother even growing up, people can take care of me and they will want to because I'm so freakin' awesome!

Teach a man to fish.... your way. Getting wrapped up in what it is doing for ones knowledge is not your place.

It's easy to get wrapped up in cliches and short catch phrases, but the truth is spending time on a system and "quick" googling when you have a hangup is a quick and EFFICIENT way to learn. There are many ways to learn such as demo, verbal, visual, etc.

In your language: "there's more than one way to skin a cat"

Instead of the "experienced" on here teasing someone for a question and putting them down, how about next time you just answer it or move on to something else.

Just a thought.

Cheers

Or.. how about the next time, you answer the question.... or move on yourself?

If you don't understand that the regulars here give up their own time to try to answer questions here....

...and how or even if... they choose to do so.. is entirely up to them..

Then you truly don't get it.....

So I for one, will await your answers to some of the many questions here.... and lets see how long it is until you decide to offer advice rather than answer the same questions over and over again.... because some people are always looking for the 'quick and easy' way... instead of actually taking their "valuable' time to learn and understand.

Finally, this is after all, a three year old thread........ I guess that says it all.

There will always be someone who wants to share and help people. Maybe try doing it without degrading others. I was able to come on here and get a "quick/easy answer" to a question. And NOPE no hand holding required, until I have another hang up, then I'll seek out THAT answer. Funny how that works.

Just had to wade through all the useless banter about how stupid, or easy, the question was.

Hey thanks!

There are a lot of good points in this thread. Edgar, Pancenter, Art Of Sound and others deserve props for the answers they provide and the time they spend doing it. You guys have all helped me before and if I didn't say it then, I say it now: thank you. I visit this board a lot as it helps me stay on top of potential issues. If I have have a problem, it's usually something I've already seen on here. Additionally, I have learned about new ways to do things, alternative workflows and read posts that inspired me to try new things. This board is my #1 go to for all things Logic. There are other good ones out there but here is my starting point. WRT to the topic, the Logic manual is comprehensive, well written and helpful. The search feature often returns the result I need. I would recommend ll users, regardless of expertise, download the iBooks version and go there first for any type of "how do I.." question. It's A LOT faster than posting here and waiting for a response, which can sometimes take 10 years! Seriously tho, if you're goal is to learn the software and master the craft I'd suggest using some of your creative time for research. It helps to keep notes. Write down questions and new ideas that come up during sessions then browse Logic discussion boards, watch relevant youtube videos and read the manuals in your down time to find answers. Try to spend a couple hours a week doing this.
