How do I restore contacts from icloud to my iphone?

Turning Contacts off and on, restarting iPhone, etc did not work for me. Apple Store Genius Bar tech went to Settings : General : Reset (very bottom of General) and restored default settings, then restarted. After a couple of minutes my iCloud Contacts repopulated the iPhone. Note: resetting settings will undo any settings you've customized (like screen background image).

Using iCloud, you can back up your iOS devices wirelessly and automatically without connecting them to a computer. But how torestore contacts from iCloud when we lose contacts on iPhone? Some users will firstly reset iPhone to factory settings and then choose "Restore from iCloud Backup" option in the "iOS Setup Assistant". However, it is not recommended because it will erase all the newly added data on your iPhone. As I know some recovery tool can restore contacts from iCloud without causing any data loss on your iPhone.

To all my homies who lost their contacts on their iPhone and are having a hard time retrieving it through iCloud.

The entire toggling the contacts on and off in the iPhone's iCloud menu didn't work for me.
So here is another solution.

Download this app called Copy My Data from the App Store (it is available for Apple as well as Android gadgets).

Then, link both the devices to the same wi-fi network.

Following this, the settings on the app are pretty simple and you should be able to retrieve your data fairly simply, and this works for Calendars, Photos, Contacts and any similar data!!

You might want to consider starting a new discussion. Since this one is a couple of years old, less people are likely to look at it. A new post would be much more visible. You can link to this one.

Go to iCloud.com using a computer and select Settings. When that page loads, look at the bottom left side under Advanced and see if you can restore from there.
