take phots from camera roll and into another?

I have had too many problems with these iphones. have 3 in the house. Photos sync saving transferring etc is just plain stupid. Unable to move photos to seperate folders, unable to save them on pc then put back in phone after updates that screw up (lost all our pics of our baby girl being born from update) and when u sync up a folder from PC that you saved the pics in it creates extra duplicate folders with same pics, plus if u copy them to a diff folder and unsync they all disappear including the ones in new folder. Hello Apple we the customers may have Pictures that we would like to keep private and not be jumbled up with all streaming syncing camera rolled folders. You would think a company that makes MAc computers and many other items can figure out a way to allow you to drag drop copy save make private photos and folders. Screw trying to make new things to offer people so to temp new buyers how about fixing the broken crap you are still throwing in there. IOS 6 has bugs and now unable to return to older IOS 5.1.1 I for one will not be upgrading to new iphone 5, believe I will try a competitor this time around, someone who has the more important items on a phone working properly. A phone with a camera on it should make dealing with the pictures simple.

I Took some private photos for my husband. I made a folder for them and want to remove them from my photo stream and photo roll. I have the I3. I don't want everyone to be able to see these pictures. If I try to delete the photo it says it deletes it from everywhere. And how can I make my private folder lock or something so its unviewable to others. Every since I put that 6 software on here my photos are all weird. I have like 20 dang photo places now. Some have doubled and I am trying to clean it up. I did make a garbage album and added photos to that to delete. But not all albums have the option to delete. What do I do? And please don't say put them to your computer I've done that and not all pictures I've taken will even open or save. This want a problem until the new software

I have a question... you seem to be knowledgable. On my iphone 3gs I have 3 folders under Photos: Camera Roll (2000 photos) Photo Library (450 photos) and My picutres (450 photos). The camera roll stores all photos... I understand that. I do not want the photo library and my pictures... how do i take them off. They have the same exact pictures and then again in Camera roll. How do I get all the pictures from camera roll (2000) into one folder - the photo library.. b/c you are saying it needs to be in 2 places? I tried everything. On itunes. Please help.

Photo library contains all your photos that you synced through iTunes. In your case, My Pictures folder. (If you sync another folder, lets say with 100 pictures, the photo library will be come with 550 pictures.) I guess that you imported some pictures from Camera Roll to your PC and when you synced My pictures folder, these photos was synced with iPhone in My pictures album.

Sync again with iTunes without selected My pictures folder.

BUT: To keep all your photos to Camera Roll is unsafe, and they take much space in your iPhone and iCloud (if you are using it).

Import all you Camera Roll to computer and empty it from iPhone. Then make a folder with these pictures and sync them back to your iPhone. Use you Camera Roll as your digital camera. (Always transfer photos to computer and empty the card),

Thank you... I saved all the pictures from camera roll into a folder i named Iphone... I deleted all the pictures in my camera roll. I then went to itunes, photo's, and sync photos from the folder that I name Iphone... But for some reason it still has three folders. The camera roll which is now empty and I know that will always be there.. but it also has Photo Library with 1,229 Pics in it and Iphone with 1,229 pics in it... same exact pics. Why can't I just have Camera Roll and then Either the photo library or the Iphone folder?? Is that not possible?

Just as Camera Roll can be thought of as a summary of all pictures you've taken with your iPhone and split into separate albums, the "Photo Library" is a summary of all the folders you've sync'd from your computer. The Photo Library folder is the entire "library" of what you've sync'd from your computer, and this folder cannot be removed.

To demonstrate, let's say you had sync'd multiple folders of pictures from your computer:

• Family (200 pictures)
• Vacations (300 pictures)
• Misc (100 pictures)

You would then see on your iPhone the following

• Photo Library (600 pictures, the sum of all you sync'd)
• Family (200 pictures)
• Vacations (300 pictures)
• Misc (100 pictures)

You would only have 600 pictures on your iPhone, not 1200, plus of course Camera Roll and whatever is in it.

Camera Roll and Photos app worked always like this. It has nothing to do with Steve.

Camera Roll is like your Digital Camera card. You have to export photos from the card, organize them into folders or albums and sync them back to your iPhone. Create an album from Camera Roll photos is an extra feature, useless for me, because you can't transfer them (albums) to computer.

Well I don't know if your trying to hide pics from other people but I use my secret folder app you can delete pics from your camera roll and keep the on the app and its locked with a pass code I'm sure there are apps you can download to separate your photos and yes I know it's a pain in the butt an something apple needs to fix but that's really the inky solution till they fix it
