Attachment size issues/fixes for OSX10.7 Mail client?

When using the Mail client to send attachments from my Exchange account, there seems to be a size limit in place. I know that my sysadmin has raised the limit for attachments to at least 50MB. Is there some sort of built-in limit present in the Mail Client? I couldn't locate it in the Preferences, and Google doesn't have anything past 2009/Snow Leopard.

I'm not happy with Outlook, and don't really want to consider other mail client options. Any suggestions?

That's true.

This issue occurs regardless of server limits or Windows-based software. The connection from Apple Mail and Outlook 2011 for Mac to the Exchange is different from the ones named before.

Please contact your sysadmin and request for a change in the ASP.NET settings.

I have the same issue at work. Created a 300 kb image to be put inline email. Sent off through Mac Outlook - received it myself (testing) and it came out to 1 mb! File was .jpg and was changed to .png, everytime. I now have to go to Parallels and open Windows Outlook and send my files inline through there, and it comes out perfect, almost the same 300 kb, in .jpg. Very annoying.
