I was having trouble with apple wireless keyboard becasue it was not connecting to my imac (running on mac os x).
it says "the pairing attempt attempt was inseccessful. make sure your device is in range of this computer, turned on and "discoverable" when ready click continue to try again.
no matter how much i try it just shows the same thing.
please reply as soon as possible.

The instructions on this link worked for me. Wireless keyboard won't connect
it's not connected to my ipad. even if i want to connect my keyboard to ipad it doesn't work. is showing the same problem.
I have the same problem with my wireless keyboard. It stopped working. I am unable to log in.

Did anyone ever answer blondie104402's issue? I have the same thing. I cannot log in passed my screen saver because my wireless keyboard is not typing - even though brand new batteries are in.
Thanks for all the advice. It turned out that my keyboard was still paired with my newest Mac. Once I removed the wireless keyboard from its list the problem was resolved.
My fix was easier. Go to Universal Access Preferences. Click on Mouse then Mouse Keys. Then click on 'Off'' Problem solved!

This worked! Yes, it was my Apple TV! I think it updated while my computer was turned off, and found my computer's keyboard without telling me. I don't use Apple TV much, so I didn't notice it.
WELL IT IS NOW AUG 2015 AND APPLE CAN MAKE MONEY, BUT CAN NOT MAKE A WORKING KEYBOARD. GO FIGURE. WHAT A ****** UP COMPANY
With Apple...its all about the money. **** you customers...once we sell you a computer **** off.

Sometimes it is so easy. Thanks for the help! My keyboard somehow was connected to my iPad....I'm glad I did not throw all the batteries away!
