turn off shuffle in itunes
I can't figure our how to turn off the shuffle in my iPhone's iTunes! Help?

I don't have that bar under showing the time. I have an iPhone 4. this is driving me nuts!

No no no. What is essential and not even described, is after you tap the art work and the pop up song screen comes up you must scroll down on the screen to see the shuffle and repeat buttons. There is where you choose.

just start playing music from your artists, songs, etc list without selecting Shuffle.. not hard.
Yep, that was the ticket. Drove me up the wall for hours, didn't notice the icon was blue.

Thanks CraigAus. That solution did it for me.
I was able to do it by turning the iPhone off and on again.
Now if the developers could find a way to disappear the "shuffle" icon.
Thanks for the advice on how to turn off shuffle, it was driving me crazy. Sanity restored now I can just enjoy my music in the right order.
sorry to be so delinquent. Why turn it off? Because I listen to operas and audio books and it is not convenient to have those things shuffled.
No one here is questioning why someone would want shuffle mode turned off, and that's not what I was responding to.
