Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

My 4s started making this strange sound like a ping/water drop! What is it?

First time it happened my phone was locked sitting in my lap, nothing lite up just made the sound, 15-20min later I plugged it in to charge and it made the sound again. Nothing ever comes up in notifications just bluooop sound! It has also happened while I have been using my iPhone, while in iMessage and other apps! I have checked every app on my iPhone and sound setting I can think of and can't figure out were it is coming from or why!!

Ok!!! So getting rid of Life360 seems to have also gotten rid of that annoying strange water drop sound!!! I'm sure you could just turn off the sound to the app in notifications as well but I didn't really use it or want it as much as I wanted that sound to go away. My roommate has that app and she sayes hers doesn't make the sound but she also hasn't updated it and her iPhone is on vibrate 99% of the time and I never heard it on vibrate so.....problem solved:)!!!!!!!:)

A new version of the Life360 app was just realeased today that eliminates the water droplet sound. Downloading the update will give you the newst app without the noise. Hope this helps!

I don't have the life360 app. I have been hearing this same noise! Anyone else having the problem still?

I too have a strange sound coming from my iPhone 4s. Originally random, now I can make the sound on startup. The sound is not in my sound library. What is it? How do I fix it? Does Apple ackowledge such problems?
