outlook 11 keeps freezing when typing, running latest operating system, have both note book and brand-new desktop, its driving me crazy and one else having issues running windows for mac ?? help !!

I am running a mac book and a decktop Mac both less than 12 months old, have updated to the latest operating system. I run office 11 for mac because of email interface with my company. Anyway having major issue with office outlook and work keeps freezing, wheel of death !!

I even took my laptop back to apple centre and they said it was a soft ware issue and reloaded all software but still I have the issue, is anyone else expriancing the same issue

I also had this problem... was typing few words in a new mail and had to wait long seconds to continue the writing. The wheel of death, as they call it...

Looking at some of the forums, I tried several things, but the solution that worked for me was having the deleted items empty.

Works like a magic, and I don't feel the urge throwing my MacBook Pro out of the window

Empty your deleted items folder in Outlook and you are good.

While I have no idea why emptying the Deleted Items folder would fix this, it also resolved the problem for me. Worth a shot for anyone having the same issue.

If you make a new folder and transfer all your email from inbox to this folder then this problem will be solved. This issues happens because the systems has to search the entire inbox to find what emails it needs to retrieve from server and this causes the system to freeze.
