That should fix this.
This doesn't delete them from your computer.
that didn't work for me?!
yep - that didn't work for me either - dangit - how can this be done?
I think this worked altho I unchecked what is only supposed to auto-d'load pre-orders when available
To delete items from iTunes on your computer, select it and press Delete.
Or select it then righ click - Delete.
yes - that deletes them but does not keep them from re-downloading - what worked for me was to uncheck auto-d'load pre-orders when available under prefs/store
Soooo...
What I've learned from all of this is that nobody can "really" delete TV shows from their download queue (except Chris CA , for some reason he gets to do it the old fashioned easy way) and Apple doesn't have an option that allows us to delete TV shows from our download queue.
Do I have that right?
Thank you for making me laugh out loud this morning! Yes, I think you've nailed it. 😁

No one asked how to delete from their download queue.
I cannot delete items from my download queue either.
But then again, when I purchase something, I expect to actually get it.

.
Correct. No option for the user to stop/delete it from the download queue.
You can contact iTunes support and ask them to remove it from your download queue.
Chris CA do you need to reply to EVERY post? Maybe focus on only replying to posts that you can add something of value to...like helping the problem.
Forgive me if I didn't say what I meant in exact Apple iTunes Expertise Technical Language but I am pretty sure that at least a few of us are having an issue with TV shows automatically downloading when we log on and we would very much like to DELETE the **** things...permanently. The 3rd post stated that he had this problem.
Whether it's the queue or the Purchased window or the iTunes or the computer...we want to delete them...period.
If you have nothing to add that will be of any help try as hard as you can to move onto a topic that you maybe can add something worth reading.
I thought forums and threads and posts were for us dummies to go to for help, if I were an expert I wouldn't be here wasting my or your time.
Amen.
+1, MDThurston and musenut. I was going to say the same thing; Chris CA himself acknowledged in an earlier post that at least some of the people on here (and, I generally suspect, even the original post) were looking to stop automatic downloads, not simply make an already existing file go away. I decided I didn't care enough to be contrary, but glad to see I wasn't alone.
And I particularly chuckle at the idea of calling iTunes support every time I want to stop an autodownload ... i.e., every time I purchase a TV program via my ATV2.
The 3rd post stated that he had this problem.
and it was answered in the 4th post.
"You either need to let them finish downloading then delete them or contact iTunes support and ask to remove them from your download queue."
Currently, the only way to stop downloads is to contact iTunes support.
Make sure you do NOT have Automatic downloads enabled in iTunes prefs > Store. If it is and you purcahse something on iPhone/iPod/iPad/AppleTV or a different computer, it will download to your computer.
You can send suggestions to Apple here -> http://www.apple.com/feedback/
Saw the answer(s), was hoping another, more reasonable one came up.
Guess I'm stuck withum cause I ain't calling support. Ridiculous
Guess I'm stuck withum
Until they finish downloading then you can delete them.
