wifi problems on iPad 2 after upgrading to iOS 5.1.1

I upgraded my iPad to iOS 5.1.1 last night. Ever since then, it keeps losing the wifi connection. My laptop, ipod and iphone are not losing any connectivity with the wifi, nor has this been a problem with the iPad prior to upgrading the iOS.

Has anyone else had this problem

Look at iOS Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398

iPad: Issues connecting to Wi-Fi networks

iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

Additional things to try.

Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Change the channel on your wireless router. Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Took my iPad to the Apple store. They wiped it - couldn't get the wifi to work, told me it was a hardware issue and they'd get me a discount on a new one. (I haven't even had it a year as this is the replacement for the one that wouldn't work before, so is no longer under warranty. Ugh.)

It seems a little fishy to me that I suddenly get a hardware issue right after downloading the iOS, especially when all of you are struggling, too - but that's what they told me.

This is only a "hardware issue" in so far as we were all stupid enough to buy crApple products. It's an issue with the iOS and there is no fix or work around that works for everyone. I've seen a dozen different supposed fixes and sometimes they work most times they do not. None of them have worked for me. It is NOT your router, don't bother resetting it, it's not a "reboot the device" problem, that does nothing except perhaps let it work for a few minutes to an hour. It's a simple matter of Apple releasing a piece of crappy buggy software and forcing us all to put up with it. You should expect no less from a company that uses slave labor to build it's overpriced products.

I strongly recommend that if you can, you sell your iPad to the nearest sucker, uh I mean buyer, and get an Android based tablet. It won't be perfect but odds are you'll be much happier. This is what I intend to do. I've already scrapped my iPhone after the update all but bricked it and I'm now going to do it with my iBrick, er iPad.

The iPad 2 Wi-Fi Disconnectivity Looks really dissapointing ! I gave it to one the apple stores and they told me , you were not skilled enough to upgrade or Jailbreak your device so that caused a hardware problem and maybe it would cost a lot since I lost my warranty ! I belive it's bullsiht ! and this problem happened since I upgraded my device to I.O.S 5.1.1 !

Hy everyone, I´ve had recently this issue. I´m from Portugal and my boss has an Ipad 2 3G 16Gb and a few days ago the wireless connection is getting broken down... When i´m near the router the ipad connects the wi-fi, when i´m far, on other part of the house the ipad disconects 😟 I have a 3rd Gen Ipad and it works just fine!

Any solution for this problem? Or its just warranty?
