Problem with Google after iOS 5.1.1 update.

I AM CONVINCED....I have 2 iPhone 4 phones. (1 is mine the other is the wife's.) I upgraded my phone after I received the notification. Trouble started the SAME day as I upgraded, May 8. The wife had her phone with her at work and never upgraded hers and guess what??? Yep, hers is working fine! Next arguement.

OK, I had the "images" problem again. I tried the "Italian user"'s method of going into "settings"/"safari"/"clear history" and "clear cookies and data"

I restarted Safari and "images" now works fine

But stay tuned, we'll see how long it takes to F-up again;)

I work for a cell phone company and have to say that I believe this to be a Google issue as we saw this same problem in our Android devices as well.

The google problem was there before the update especially with using the images. It is a google problem though and not just with iPhones it affects android phones too. Ironically if you google it a number of forums have been focussing this issue the last few days. From the errors on the debug I think it's something to do with the scripting google use

Firstly, it is definitely not an issue with the update. I had the image search problem on my iphone and couldn't figure out why it was doing it so I did the update as I thought there might be a fix in it. The fact that it's happening to androids aswell suggests that it may well be a google problem. Do you think that it may be that Google has just transfered to a BETA version of HTML5 and that this is a glitch in it that no one noticed? Or does mobile web browsing use a different kind of script?

Only thing I have found to work is changing your search engine in settings. Go back to safari. Don't use the search text bar. Go directly to www.google.com click on image. Search whatever it is your looking for. Image showed as I clicked on it. Could also then scroll through the pages. Well it worked for me. Hope it helps.

I have tried all the aforementioned suggestions but I still have the same image search problem on my iPhone 4.

I don't know if it is iOS 5.1.1 or Google, however I hope it will be fixed soon.

How strange...

It may be a problem with bandwidth settings of the browser. Then Google images works fine over WiFi but not over the mobile network.

In the advanced settings make she to have the preload on always, instead of on WiFi.

I had the issue on an Android phone and fixed it in the Android browse as well as Google Chrome. I best Safari has the same setting the cause it.
