I just upgraded to OS 5.1.1 on my iPhone 4S and now it tells me that I have no cellular service. !!! Help!

Suddenly, I have service again. I guess it just takes a few minutes after the upgrade. Never mind!
I have the same problem, only its been four hours since I lost signal 😟. I've rebooted phone but still nothing

Upgraded yesterday, worked fine, had service.
This morning I look and there's no service, and has been that way all day. I've tried rebooting.
Also have this problem, updated six hours ago... and still no service.
My friend updated hers the day before yesterday and still no luck...
mine would periodically have full service for like 5 seconds then have none again. plus my phone would turn off and on everytime i tried to access the settings or my calling.
Same prob here with my iPhone 4. At first it was running fine on iOS 5.1.1 but today suddenly No Service *sigh*.
FWIW, I backed up my phone and then restored that backup... which I believe resets the radio -- once I entered the service area again, the phone activated and I got service back.
I will say that I have worse reception after this update.

I just did a Shift + Restore on iTunes then restored from backup. Still the same issue
I'm not sure how fast Apple will respond to this. I have a useless phone cannot do anything now...
I'm having issues with dropped calls since the update to 5.1.1
I'm on the ATT plan and my iPhone is a 4S.

I Have the same problem......unfortuntly......I did the same thing like the jharder0002 user did, and in Portugal, i went to the mobile service to get an nem sim card and the problem get the same. My phone is 4.
please reply this question.......someone from Apple? I restore the phone, upgrade all the software in the MAC in the Iphone 4 and still the same problem.........I need to solve this problem, is urgent tks.
I have recently upgraded my iphone 4s to OS 5.1.1 and the next morning i had no phone service. It showed my signal with Vodafone as 2 bars but i was unable to make or receive calls. I have had my sim replaced and went to Apple in Southampton. They did all the usual and it worked, but then failed again. They replaced my phone and its still doing it. The issue appears to be intermittent. It seems to be less of an issue in an area with excellent coverage
