Waves Renaissance Compressor Bad News...

I just got off the telly with Waves tech support. According to the tech, the
Renaissance compressor doesn't work on midi instrument plug-ins. What
I've found is. It works to an extent. You have to do everything by ear because
the gain reduction meter is inaccurate. On audio tracks however it's brilliant.
Anyone know of any good compressors that work well with midi instruments?

I know you can get Waves from dealers, I got Waves Native Gold for a great price.

Do dealers sell WUP?

Im sorry guys,
I meant I bought the Ren Comp for $200. My bad. In other words, I just
bought that one native plug-in. I did purchase it from Waves directly though.
