App to copy files from iPad to Mac?

What Mac OS X apps, free or fee, allow copying any files whatsoever from iPad to Mac?

In particular, is m-ipad-to-mac-transfer such an app that's safe (free of malware)? I ask about this one because the author is unclear and I haven't found it on standard third-party Mac download sites or reviewed on known-reputable sites.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.3), 3.4GHz Corei7, 16GB, SSD + 2T HD

Just curious but how would this file (the one you want to copy to the Mac) get on the iPad?

The iExplorer app has a Finder-like column-view interface with two entries in the left column: Apps and Media. Expand Apps to see a list of them, click one of them to expand the tree of its files. Then just drag-and-drop to copy to the Mac!

I think a program called Dropbox for the Mac might help you with this. I saw it at the MacHeist site and I believe I could see all my photo folders, not just the camera roll one.

This is strange: the e-mail notification I received quoting the preceding post refers to PhoneView instead of Dropbox. And the actual links in both the post and the e-mail version point to yet a third thing: http://software.bigbigsoft.com/ipad-to-mac-transfer. I never heard of bigbigsoft, so not sure it's trustworthy. In any case, iExplorer seems to do what I need. I think PhoneView will do much, if not all, too.
