I am having the same problem. I used to be able to drag a folder to my desktop and then back to my bookmarks. Now I cannot place the alphabetized folder back in my Safari bookmarks. Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks, Bernice
In Safari, create a new bookmark folder (Bookmarks>Add Bookmark Folder) with the same name as the one you have on the desktop. Drag it to where you want it in the list.
Open the folder on the desktop and sort the bookmarks displayed in the Finder pane by Name
Select all bookmarks, then drag them into the bookmark folder you just created.
I thought I replied already, but if I have not thanks for your help. I was able to sort my Safari bookmarks with the advice you and others gave me.
