For the self-entitled types, it would be better if Apple repaired their iPhone when there is a hardware problem covered under warranty instead of providing an exchange under warranty that can be new or refurbished with no way to tell the difference. I always laugh when someone posts asking if their exchange under warranty is new or refurbished - how can this be determined. They can't tell the difference and don't know.

I, too have a problem with this policy. Refurbished is NOT new. You pay a premium for all new Apple products and it is not acceptable to have it replaced with a refurbished handset. You have to ask yourself why a refurbished phone has been refurbished - it most likely will have been a faulty one re-jigged as I understand.

Check your consumer rights in your country - Most reputable companies will work to ensure customer satisfaction. However Apple is not most companies. To me it seems that Apples view is even though we've paid our Mac Tax ( the 2-5x premium compared to other equivalent products) we still dont matter.

After the recent iCloud hiccup and I'm now on Android - and am finding the transtion very smooth and easy.

I appreciate that I may get attacked by the fanboys on here - but my intention is not to offend.

My intention is to make people realsie that many people feel a great deal of resentment towards Apple, and its about time they treated us like valued customers instead of a minor inconvenience.

Glad to hear you like your Galaxy SIII, they do look like nice machines. Hope the recent articles about malware are not true.

But have you read your warranty? If something happens to your Galaxy in say 4 months under warranty Samsung will give you a service replacement unit that will probably be a refurbished model. Just like Apple and every other electronics manufacturer.

BTW, I never had any lag between keypresses, and you are dreaming if your voice control feature on your Android rivals even the current Siri BETA.

But now that you are thoroughly enjoying your Galaxy you need to go join your friends at the Samsung or Android forums. To remain here makes you nothing more than a low-life troll.

Are you honestly suggesting that no matter how old your product is, if it is under warranty it should be replaced with a brand new model?

And so it begins - a low life troll !!! Well thank you for the insult - when none was invited or asked for.

If one is not allowed to have a problem with Apple why can is their a discussion forum.

Please grow up and stop throwing insults when you dont even have a valid argument.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion - and by calling people trolls - you are revealing your trollish tendencies.

I've said it before and I'll say it again--there is nothing wrong with a refurbished phone. I bought an iPhone 4 for me and one for my husband around this time last year and they are fine. They work great and we could never tell they were refurbished. We saved some money on them which was a plus for us. I don't know why people get all up in a tizzy about refurbished phones. They're perfectly acceptable.
