EVDO works on MACBOOK PRO (USB)

I found information on the web that VERIZON started to offer a program to use your phone as a Broadband modem.

I called verizon but their reps don’t know anything.

than I deiced to go to a store but no luck they did not know too called the technical support they told me that they do have a package that I can add to use my phone as a broadband phone.

I went back to the store port my phone number to VERIZON got the V3 and a usb cable to be able to connect to my macbook.

VALA you got the broadband speed I can not believe no one knows this I am so frustrated I am no computer genius people here must know better

thanks for the ----further update and links, JCC.
I know ALOT of people REALLY want this to work somehow.
hopeully either Apple or Verizon (when they release their own
branded card) will get the drivers right for MBP, etc.

Early reports are confirming the Dell card does not
run natively in OSX. You have to use BootCamp. See
the link below for more info.

Has anyone had luck with the card using Windows running in Parallels?

Does not work in Parallels either. Drivers s/w can be installed. OS recognises the card and installs s/w ready for use. But when Dell's Connection s/w is opened, it say Initializing .. forever. I am sure somebody will come up with a fix for this.

Please forgive this basic question. I am going on vacation and would like to take my MBP with me. I do have a razor phone with verizon. Can you explain basically how I can use it as a modem and use their data network.

If you don't have data plan, call verizon and have it added to your services. Next, ask them how you can use it as dialup modem (DUN) to access internet on your laptop. You might have to buy their USB cable or use bluetooth.
