For Messages....

I put in my email and my password and hit sign in and it goes to the next screen for me to confirm my email address but the jumps back to the log in screen right away.
I don't know if this will work, but give it a shot.
Sign out of your account, reset/reboot the iPad, then sign in again and try FaceTime again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in with your Apple ID - go back to FaceTime and try again.
Ok so I signed out of the store and reset my iPad but when I go to sign back it it's already signed back in automatically. Anyways this did not work either :(
You could try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. You will have to enter in all of your app and device preferences again, but that may work to reset the FaceTime and Messages Settings that will not let you sign in.
I have the same probelm too. It could be that you have two apple id's and signed in with both of them.
I had the same problem. Try going in to Settings > Wifi and hitting the little blue arrow next to your wifi network to bring up the settings for the network. Tap on the DNS field and (after writing down what's currently in there) delete everything there and replace it with "8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4" (without the quotes). This is Google's public DNS and seems to bypass whatever issue iMessage and Facetime have activating.

All,
I am having the same problem with my new iPad (wifi+4G LTE).
When I try signing into iMessage using my Apple Id & password, it would momentarily show a message box with Next button on it & straight after that it would show the Sign In screen again. And obviously, it doesnt sign me in to iMessage or enable it.
I have tried the following things, but they dint help:
1. Reset Network settings
2. Sign out of from Settings -> Store -> Apple Id
3. Change DNS to Google's public DNS 8.8.8.8
4. Changing Apple Id password
5. Hard Resetting iPad.
Could anyone please help?
Cheers,
Jay
P.S. I am only using Wi-Fi on my iPad at the moment, as I havent got a data plan as yet.
Folks,
I managed to solved the problem.
All the steps I have mentioned in my earlier post don't help in getting iMessages enabled.
What really solves the problem is a very simple thing -
Go to Settings -> General -> Date&Time -> Turn Automatically to "ON". And thats it!
I know it sounds funny - but, it solved the problem! 🙂
Cheers,
Jay
