I can't log on to iMessage or FaceTime.
iPhone is fine. Network is fine.
Apple is getting sloppy in quality control.

Hey everybody, I'm having the exact same problem with iMessage where I click log in, and then when I try to confirm my email it just takes me right back to the sign in screen. I have tried every single thing in this thread so far and none have worked for me. Any other help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!
Same problem here too! I keep getting kicked back to the sign in screen. Have tried everything in the forums and support.
I am so frustrated!!! 😟 i've tried everything there is on this post, and tried everything possible for 4 hours!
i still can't log in to facetime; it just keeps sending me to the sign in screen!!!!! could anyone think of anything else??
P.S. i bought my ipod touch 5g in america and but i live in canada. could the change in time zones be affecting it? if so how do i fix it?
One thing I noticed with my iphone, is that when I dont have signal (no cell service), the imessage settings continually try to verify the phone number first as a receiver for the messaging. The email address is after that, but it never gets to it. Once I get into cell range, it clears up, verifies, and then I'm o.k. So ... ensure you have good cell signal, if you have the cell card, (ipad etc) ... after that, when I was out of cell range, the imessage worked o.k. on wireless with the email.
Can be very frustrating. Good luck to those with issues.
I had this problem for a few weeks. But I finally fixed it by:
Settings>General>Date&Time>SET AUTOMATICALLY
Didn't need to reset anything or change my Apple ID.
This worked for me! I can't even believe it. Thanks so much for posting!
i just reset with sleep button and power button held down for 15 seconds until apple icon appeared then it let me sign into imessaging
Thank goodness you had the key to success! You rock!!!
