iTunes Match stuck at "Sending information to Apple"

This started happening two days ago and I'm still stuck at step 1.. If I disable and re-enable iTunes Match it syncs once and then if I update iTunes Match I'm stuck at "Sending.." again.. Is somebody else having this problem?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

This problem has been happenning to me for a while. iTunes Match would say it was sending information to apple, and never do anything else. Finally, I reinstalled iTunes on my mac by re-downloading the installer and running it. (If you are on Lion, simply re-run the installer package. Snow Leopard users should delete the application from the Applications folder first, then run the installer package). iTunes Match works perfectly now.

My iTunes match keeps getting stuck at the third stage. I signed up for it a couple of days ago, and it says I have 4000 songs to go, but it will only upload like 10-15 a day. It gets stuck when I leave it on overnight or while I'm at work and it just hangs on a track. If I stop it and restart, it takes a while to go through steps 1 and 2 and the it uploads another 10-15 songs and gets stuck again. This will take months if something doesn't change. I really hope it's just a server problem at Apple that will be fixed soon. This service ***** because now I can't manually add songs to my iphone that haven't been uploaded to itunes match!

I've gone from about 4000 songs remaining to 2500 songs in 2-3 days. Someone on another thread recommended turning off iTunes match in the store menu and then turning it back on an signing in again. This appears to help, but with varying results. The first time I tried it I let it run overnight and managed to upload 1,000 songs! I thought that my problem had been solved, but I have yet to see results that good again. I am now getting through a few hundred songs per day. I am on my way home and hoping that I made good progress while at work, but yesterday I was disappointed to find it had uploaded only about 100 songs in 10-12 hours. Anyway, it's worth trying.

I can't believe I'm paying for such a crap experience! The turning iTunes match on/off thing must have been a fluke. I am now down to under 2,000 tracks, but I'm losing patience. I can basically upload about 150 tracks per day. I tried deleting all of the error and ineligible tracks in my library, but that didn't really change anything.

This weekend I'm going to try re-encoding some of the remaining tracks in the hopes that they will be recognized by the matching algorithm. I will also experiment with resetting my router to see if there is some issue there. I didn't realize I was going to be a Beta tester for this service! A bit of a warning would have been nice Apple!
