Erase Mac OS 10.7

Which name and format should I use in erasing Mac OS v. 10.7? Because everytime I try to do the erase, it is looking for the name.. I have no idea what it could be. I have macbook pro late 2011 model.


Anybody can help please?

This is not a reason to do a full system restore. It is completely normal for the "Other" category in System Information's Storage tab to be large. "Other" consists of basically everything not in one of the other categories, and that includes the system as well as many other file types that can potentially be large. I'd advise you to stop trying to erase your system if that is your only reason.

I think you are maybe over reacting to something that is not a problem. The "Other" designation covers anything beyond audio, movie, photo, apps, and backups. That still leaves a sizeable chunk of files that represent OSX and system related software that can't be classified into of the specific groups. If you're referring to something like the attached, it's normal:
