Can anyone help me, I can't use my Facetime as I enter my Apple ID it keeps coming up with "Facetime could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again." but my network is ok and can access the net. My apple ID works fine with iTunes and Apple TV and my iPad so I am at a loss.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.4), imac 5 running later version OS

Hello

Try this... I had the same problem and this worked for me.

Go to your system preferences → network → make sure WI-FI selected → advanced → DNS tab. Add 8.8.8.8 to the DNS servers. Go back to FaceTime and try to verify your account again. Let me know if that works.

Good luck!

Did you ever find a fix? Going on 4 months now for me. Tried everything. I looked into the Beta Yosemite forums and there was a suggestion to export your contact list as PDF and search for asterisks. If one or more of your contacts contains an asterisk delete it. This apparently was a fix for some, of course that's on Yosemite, but worth a try. It was not a fix for me. Please reply if any of you out their found the fix. I've tried everything that MartiniSloth has tried I'm looking for a REAL fix!!
