My wife recently downloaded iphoto library manager and now here iphoto 6.0.6 is unable to read any of her 8000 photos. I have tried rebuilding, but the grey boxes still appear. I need help.

Well I'm not sure what's gone wrong here but you seem to have lost all these photos somehow.


File Salvage


is an app that will scan the hard drive for deleted files and try to recover them. It's expensive, but it will scan for free and you will have to purchase to actually get the files back. Read the instructions carefully. If you do go this path you may find many files with the same name. Always recover the largest file size. That's most likely to be the original file.


Apart from pointing out that a back up is necessary at all times, there's not much more I can suggest.
