Well, in my Lion boot I have updated Aperture to 3.3, and intalled iPhoto (I had not yet done so, there). In order to update the iPhoto version 9.0, I had to first manually download the update for 9.1, which apparently contained an update installer. Once that was done, Software Update could present the update for 9.3.

This will be a painless testing, as I only have used test libraries for Aperture in Lion.

As far as sharing, I am presently at loss to understand how Aperture can still effectively use more than one Library, while for iPhoto there is only one?

Time and tests will tell.

Frank -- thanks for the updates! Enjoy.

LĂ©onie -- my new laptop has been announced. They don't have them at the local A-Store yet, though. Guessing you will jump for one as well? Have read that the new retina screen is 75% less reflective, but have also read that it is "way too shiny". Waiting to see on in person. Will we see a non-glare retina display? (More: no optical drive. Hmm. Was going to go with dual optical drives in the old form-factor. Have to see the final specs and prices. SDHC slot -- Yes! Firewire -- gone. Thunderbolt to DVI adaptors?) Aperture: re-arrangeable Projects -- Yes! (At least a start towards the promise the Projects View presents.) And -- drum roll please:

Master is Dead!

Minor terminology changes, including "Original" instead of "Master" and "Info" instead of "Metadata" (Source)

Ok in the new Library tab there are two headings Projects and Albums (in addition to others). Why?

Albums can be placed under the Projects heading, but Projects can't go under the Albums heading! And neither of those two headings can be moved.

I liked having the Library Albums above the projects. If I have a few projects opened the Albums section will be off the bottom of the display. I've already had to move my Local Library Albums into a folder under Projects name __Local Albums (the double undrscore forces the folder to the top of the projects list when I sort by name).
