Wherever I try to paste to, the picture moves to be the last picture
Copy the picture you want to move & then press your finger on the picture you want it to be in front of & press paste when the copy/paste icon appears. The copied picture will move to the location in front of the picture you pressed your finger on. The picture you press your finger on will move over one space. You have to press directly on the picture. If you try to paste in between pictures, the copy picture will move to the end.
Eureka!! I just figured out, as I do with most things-accidentally-how to move photos in an album on the ipad.
1. click on SELECT at the top of the screen.
2. click on any photo in the album (best not to choose the one(s) to be moved.
3. now ALL the photos in the album are ACTIVE and can be moved.
4. PRESS on a photo and it swells a bit, drag it to a new location before another image or in between two.
THERE YOU GO!!! Amazing what can be found out just by pressing and clicking on things! Wouldn't it have been nice if Apple had included this nugget in the tutorial.
This reply if for Win users!
I had the exact same problem, although not on an iPad, but on my iPhone 5. After 1 month of seeking, I finally figured out that a small shareware software does perfectly what I needed, without purchasing it. It is called CopyTrans Photo, you can download it from this site: http://www.copytrans.net/copytransphoto.php
When you open it, pick the CopyTransPhoto software in the small upcoming window, the others are not needed. The software immidiately recognizes your connected device, and with a single drag-n-drop you can re-arrange your photos in your folders. Click on the apply button. Worked perfectly for me!
Cheers
Thanks, Adam. This software worked perfectly for me. I downloaded the software to my desktop, plugged in my iPad to my desktop, chose the folder that was uploading out of order, closed iTunes when prompted, and, voila, the photos were on my iPad in the order that I had them in my desktop...
Didn't work for me...
This solved solved it for me. Thanks Pliem
