Tell Apple, not us. feedback
You are wasting your breath in a user to user forum. But if you wait long enough you may get a17" phone.
Pete
If my purpose is to stir up enough of the original creative base to inspire Apple to move ahead on developing a larger machine again...
And it works...
Then I am not wasting my breath.
My message to Apple is simple:
"Remember your roots Apple... THINK".
Remember that YOU killed the MBP17 by not competing and including a side number pad.
Acknowledge that the demise of this superb machine (which could be easily an 18 or 19MBP and be the same size/weight as the MPB17 2008 model) was a self-fulfilling prophecy, and that blaming it's loss on poor sales is like getting hit by a mac truck and blaming the little dog on the hood.
I wish no one any ill.
I wish only to have acknowledgement that Apple has abandoned it's original creative base that launched it in the first place.
But hey, now every teenager gets to spew mindless texted nonsense on their very own pocket sized super computer.
Yaay!
– The disappointed many.
Try to keep in mind that this IS a thread called "Where is the 17" MacBook Pro"
yes you have suddenly caused a lot of interest here. The boards are inundated with your ' stirred up interest' in someone else's old thread. Tell Apple as Gail advised.
Cheers
Pete

No it is not!
'Where is the 17" new macbook' is the question,
'There isn't one' is the answer.
I see, so the 2 or 3 threads that once existed, featuring hundreds of concerned Apple fans has been eradicated?
That's just awesome.
Good job Apple and Support Communities!
Way to go.
That wallpaper that I had on my MBP17 for 3 years...
it featured a very young Steve Jobs holding an apple...
What did it say again....
Ah yes, now I remember.
"Think"
Think?
What part of "there is no new 17" Macbook" is so complex that it requires thought?
Terminating this obtuse dialogue
Dang, you are not a nice dude as well as a bit of an a$$hole.
I mean seriously, why did you reply like that?
I cannot see how you come to have so many points from people you helped.
Dude, you are a Troll,
Because it is not easy for me to see why it is so hard to understand a simple answer.
I believe they killed it off years ago, with the release of the 15 inch MBP w/ Retina Display. It was a low selling model for the most part, and 15 and 13 inches were the most profitable (I am assuming; from a business standpoint.)
Well, I was curious so I looked back over your posts.
You may own a lot of Apple merchandise, and I'm sure accumulated quite a bit of experience from using it, but quite a few of your posts are not very nice.
Seriously there's no need for that.
Look at guys like Loner T, and Chistopher Murphy and they are real gentlemen.
Very helpful.
Are there Moderators on this Forum that can review posts?
I'm sure it's all controlled by Apple, so they must not want this sort of thing.
Yes there are moderators, I do not know whether they agree with you however.
Being nice is one thing, being accurate is the important thing., Bedside manner is a poor substitute for correct treatment.
There are enough people here that it's easy to get a smile and your hand held while being guided down the wrong path. I don't need to increase the likelihood of that.
I just sent feedback, but I need to vent since some people still don't get it.
I don't see how retina is relevant. Retina doesn't solve anything for 17" MacBook users. Can you view two pages side-by-side on a retina display? No. Can you show a room full of people a video or presentation? No. Can you type your rant on one side of the screen while watching a youtube video on the other? No.
The 15" macbook is kinda useless.
No good venting about something that doesn't exist. You can, perhaps, tell Apple here feedback again or tell SWC.
But none here can assist you with a product that does not exist.
Cheers
Pete
