Where is the 17" new macbook Pro

Reasons for a 17 inch Macbook Pro for me.

More real estate for Photo and Video Editing, as well as side by side work with two apps open on one screen. The small 15 inch just doesn't do it. I have a 17" from late 2009.

Not sure what Apple is thinking by making the douchebook Air and not something for the power users that originally kept them in business. Hmm.

Maybe the fact that Lenovo is heading in that direction will spur Apple to bring back the king of laptops.

Lenovo, and Apple themselves : iPad, bigger iPad, even BIGGER iPad. iPhone, bigger iPhone, GINORMOUS iPhone.

My mid-2012 15" is due for replacing, and I'm crossing my fingers that they'll introduce a new 17" retina by the time I'm really desperate. Great for people who edit videos/photos on the go, sure...but also ideal for me and the many many others whose laptop is their primary or only home entertainment toy. I'm selling my TV this afternoon; it hasn't even been on in over a year since everything looks 10000x better on the MBP screen.

Now that Apple has proudly introduced the 27" iMac in all of its retina glory then can we expect to see the revision of the 17" macbook pro. It would appear that the retina panel makers are starting to make this panel at sufficient costs to use in the larger units. Come on Apple. My 17" grows weary.....
