MacBook Pro Retina display burn-in?

I first noticed this after my MBP [Retina] had gone to sleep, but: when returning to the login screen (since I have it set to require a password whenever the computer is idle long enough) I noticed what appeared to a very faint ghosting primarily noticeable on darker backgrounds.

After messing around with it a bit, there seems to be a fairly consistent in-display ghosting that occurs without much time at all; I was able to leave my screen on (a little above half-brightness) for about 10-15 minutes and the ghosted "burn" would be of the screen I left it on (which I deliberately reconfigured so that everything would be a new position).

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a normal thing that I just have to get used to? It's not really noticeable at all in standard use.

So, been testing my model 2.6/16/256. Build week I THINK was 35/36, seems to have no apparent IR issues and yes, it is an LG screen.

There ARE a couple issues that I wonder if anyone can shed some light on. I can't seem to get the screen very bright. Historically, with my older MBP's I was able to get the BRIGHTNESS to a good level for indoors with some good lighting, at about THREE notches from highest, on battery. At this point, I can only really get the brightness on this new RETINA at about full, or ONE notch from highest. Seems pretty high to run it, battery life and all, just to get brightness the same as before. Would this sort of thing be different on the samsung vs. the LG?

Second thing is, this is a BTO 2.6/16/256 (low model, up armored to higher RAM and CPU)

But, all the sites listed here for checking ones mac serial number show this as a 2.3 model, with 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD. Is this normal, the CPU upgrade doesn't properly get into the mac serial number database?

Thanks vertigo becuase I thought that the serial maybe has got something to do with the lg/Samsung pannels btw I will just wait after a month becuase apple will set a major hardware (pannels) update to fix this issue :)

Just went to the Apple store in Vegas, Fashion Show Mall. I tested 3 MPr and two were LG with the issue, one was a lot worse than the other and you could see individual text and other details within a few minutes. The other was not as bad, but you could still see lines from safari. The third one was a samsung and had no issues that I could tell. I wanted to see the difference between the two displays to confirm for myself that the samsung is brighter and has more color saturation. I found this to be true and definitely distinguishable side by side. Not as noticeable as I thought it would be though.

My replacement LG (that also has IR) has a scratch on the top, to the left of the Apple. AppleCare appeared more worried about the scratch than the IR, but it just made it that much easier to convince them to give me another replacement. Let's hope the third time is the charm!

Despite the IR and scratch, this Lg's white point seemed notably better than the last. It still wasn't as bright as the Samsungs on display in the store, but it was a step up from my first rMBP.
