Retina Macbook Pro LCD Mura (White Spot)

I just got my brand new retina screen Macbook Pro today and after a few hours of use, I noticed a light spot in the mid-lower left side of the screen. It's a cloudy light spot also known as mura. ***** that this innovative new screen on the expensive as heck MBP retina has this issue. I'll have to see what can be done about it at the Apple store, but I don't want to be without my new laptop (which I need for work) for over a month.

Anyone else with a new MBP retina seeing the same issues?

Same here.

I bought MacBook Pro Retina about 1,5 years ago and white spot appeared on the left bottom corner of the screen. I went to Apple Store, a guy there said that it would cost $650 to replace the screen cause it's out of warranty. He said that it's not a known issue, so it's not a manufacturer defect. This is ridiculous

Brought my MBPR 15.4" early '13 to the Apple Store today, and they didn't want to cover the screen reparations under apple care. Every employee (three of them) that took a look at it tried to blame it on any scratches or bumps they could see and said it was physical damage. The first employee was pretty rude and I argued with him for a while, when I asked for another employee he told me "Are you ready?, "You're gonna need to pay 900$"; he was being salty for no reason. When I was talking to the 2nd employee, the first one was still blabbing about the issue and acting ******. I told him to leave and he did not want to. All I was asking for is a proper reason they did not want to replace and proof of it. I left and called the support whom told me that the mura spots are not normal and he told me to go to another Apple Store. It's a pretty big mura spot so it is pretty annoying, if I need to buy another computer, it hopefully won't be from Apple.

Update: Brought my macbook to the other Apple Store, the employee did a couple of tests, looks at the back of the panel and on the screen for any scratches, and she figured out that it was in fact an issue with the display. So she took it in and they should be fixing it in a couple of days. But it is mentioned in their "Atlas" that mura spots usually happen closer to the Apple logo or trackpad, my spot wasn't so it classed under uniform brightness.

I have the same problems with the display white spots on a Macbook Pro 13" bought in 2014. I'm very disappointed with the quality of Apple products that are very expensive for their "premium" quality. I had many laptops and this is the first with display problems. Unfortunately warranty has expired and I have to live with these spots because I would not pay another 500 EUR
