I changed my Apple ID and password. Both are verified but when I try to login to iCloud from my iPad iCloud still shows the old ID and there is not a way to change it.

I changed my Apple ID and password earlier this week and both are active and verified. iCloud on my iPad still shows the old Apple ID and I don't see a way to edit it or change it to the new ID. Any suggestions?

iPad 2, iOS 5.1.1

I have the same problem. However,I do not have anything that says "Delete Account", but I do have "sign out". Unfortunately, it isn't working on my iPhone 5c, ios 8.13, latest update, in spite of many attempts. I also repeatedly receive the request to "Sign in to iCloud - Enter theApple ID password for (old Apple ID)", even though I am already signed in to iCloud and can't sign out. These requests come all during my use of the iPhone, no matter what app I am using. See my post of same subject.
