MacBook Pro June 2012 13" Kernel Panic

I have a four day old MacBook Pro 13" which has had two Kernel Panics in two days, is it Parallels or shall I just take it back, or is it the driver issue that everybody is talking about, please see diagnostic reports below:-

Can you please do a home made stress test by doing what made you mac crash supposedly caused by the Intel HD 4000? As soon as I get my code I'll upgrade and do the things that made my mac crash (playing games and iMovie). I'll inform you what happened. I REALLY HOPE Mountan Lion fixes this issue.

Unfortunately with Parallels it can take up to a day to crash, even using Flash or graphics intensive apps (like playing movies). I don't use iMovies or games, so if it works we'll have to wait. If it doesn't crash after 48 hours, it would be a good sign as I've always had a crash within 24 hours if 3D graphics acceleration is enabled.

I tried everything I could think of over the last 24 hours to crash it, it's rock solid🙂.

I have tried to run a 3D game in Parallels, worked absolutey fine. Browsed with IE and flash, no problem.

So if you don't hear back from me, it's because it's fixed for me.

I'll only post back if I get a crash.

Looks like the new Macbooks were designed to run ML.

I won't miss Lion, ML seems much more polished. Apart from added stability, it's a recommended upgrade.

Feels as good as Snow Leopard, just with a few more features.

I just bought my Macbook Pro 13" with Intel HD 4000. Installed Parallel 7 but it doesn't recognize my video card, it installs "standard VGA" instead.

Do you guys have proper driver installed on parallel?

I was expecting some change after upgraded to ML but same game, standard VGA under Parallel (Windows 7 Enterprise)

Parallels always uses the standard VGA driver in Windows (the guest OS), because it uses a hardware abstration layer. The problem is (was) not with parallels itselt, but with apps which, like parallels, games (or Chrome with Flash because it got a temp fix) use the HD4000 driver in the host OS.

The HD4000 driver in Mountain Lion doesn't seem to give HD4000 related panic kernel crashes like the one in Lion. At least until now,

That's the most important change. You'll always see VGA standard in windows, so don't worry and enjoy your new mac.

Well, bad news. I was trying to upgrade to ML and when 12min to finish it froze!!! The trackpad didn`t respond. I had to forze a shut down. As soon I turned on the Mac the installer started again, I hope it works now. If it doesn´t I´ll take it to an Apple Store.

At the store they clean installed ML about 10 days ago, I never had any freeze like I used to have with Lion. This morning I was only using Google Chrome, I only had 1 tab opened and it froze like it usted to to with Lion on this mid 2012 MBP, this is the site I was viewing:http://workshop.chromeexperiments.com/projects/armsglobe/ . I belive the graphic card has something to do with this asi this page is ''3D''.

Hi Manni

Not sure if you can help or advise, I've just bought some memory 16GB Kingston, fitted memory and all appeared well until last night.... When I turn the MBP on it sticks at the grey pattern screen, after several forced power downs it eventually boots, I have also had it startup with the guest account, I have noticed some errors with drive genius in the logs but nothing else. The MBP is running ML (clean install) I'm thinking there is a reason Apple currently don't offer these with 16GB RAM...

Any suggestions most appreciated.
