Experience in delivery times for retina MBP so far?

that's excellent news for you. So it seems like there is a priority for defective replacements. Mine has an estimated delivery date on the 28th to 30th like Iram. Seems as though custom orders may take a little extra time.

congrats! its finally moving then. I'm not worried per say, just anxiously anticipating. I'll be happy when it does actually ship. It's just been 4 days since I ordered anyhow.

For what it's worth, I ordered a BTO Retina on August 12th, expected to see it the 23rd to the 27th and received it today.

How much does it take for the track shipment to actually start tracking? I have been trying to track mine but it does not seem to give any information at the moment.

Yeah, Fedex tends to deliver 3 days before the earliest estimated date, and that's exactly what happened with my Macbook pro. So you should dfefinitely expect to receive your mac ahead of schedule...

So basically if the earliest I were to receive it is 28th August (according to Apple), then I should expect to receive it by Friday the 24th isn't it? The excitement is killing !!

That could definitely happen! I was supposed to receive mine in the 20th(Monday) but Fedex was at my door on Friday(17th). Kepp your fingers crossed. And keep in mind that this was regular shipping...what shippin method did you use?

okay, you might just be lucky...on another totally unrelated note, I'm running the latest Need for speed (The run) on max resoltion (2880 X 1800) and on ultra settings and there is no lag at all! I hear that the nvidia GPU in the rMBP is clocked higher than normal, making it even faster than the GTX 660M!

I just thought of something...what if it says estimated delivery 30 august and so I take 30 august off work for example but it arrives on 29th and i am at work??

just a stupid thought that popped up in my mind lol, i'm sure the postal company have something in place for this kinda thing but just wondering 😮 i mean with a pair of shoes or a PC game i would tell them to leave it behind the tree in my garden but with a macbook thats kinda dodgy lol!!

Oh well, where do you live? Usually in the UK, if the person/housemate/friend is not available to collect at the delivery address, the delivery guy leaves a card to call and you can call to arrange a different day or go and collect it from somewhere.

To be on the safer side, why did you not get it delivered to your work place? That's what I did. It avoids the problem of getting it delivered when you are not at home. If you can still change the delivery address, I think now is a good time to do so in my opinion.

Ahh it's not a problem for me it was just a random thought that popped in my mind, thought it may happen to others 😝

I am happy to see there are people like me that are not good at waiting for their MBPR. I ordered mine today the 21st with 2-3 day shipping - ETA aug 31st - Sept 5th. Has anyone done the the express shipping? Wondering if the shipping is "really" any faster?
