    Apple doesn't read the messages here at all, it is primarily a peer-to-peer technnical support site. Call AppleCare and ask to be transferred to the Account Security team.

    Set up your account the proper way in the first place, and you won't have these issues.

    It literally takes less than five minutes to set this up properly.  If you can't remember your own answers to the questions you picked, how is that Apple's fault?



    Go to

    Choose 'More Products & Services', then 'Apple ID'.

    A new page will open.

    Choose 'Other Apple ID Topics', then 'Forgotten Apple ID Security Questions'.

    I feel that companies who wish to sell their products should have the common sense to give us security questions where the natural answer to a security question:


    a. Is not one that can be entered in multiple different ways (eg Ford, Ford Mondeo, Mondeo, Ford Mondeo 2.0, the blue one etc.)

    b. Is not one where the answer changes over time ie. leading to false personal data entry to get past the system if your favourite car changes over time.


    As the correct characterisation for entry of a security answer as data can be more difficult to achieve than say a secondary password, then perhaps there is more likelihood of a need to reset it than a password. Many businesses only use the security answer for verbal telephone communication.


    The customer is not clear at the time of setting up an account that there is an infinite loop of not being able to reset a security answer without  a rescue email (ie not the account email) and can not set up a rescue email without a security answer.


    Most businesses do not create this level of hassle for their customers and give us account control through a password which we can usually remember but can be reset through our account email address if it is forgotten..

    DC Mellor is absoutely right about the security questions.


    Further, you might want to try out your own instructions.  They don't work.


    AND, I have logged in with my ID and password yet iTunes STILL requires my security answers.  How does that make any sense?

    I went to the 'Manage your account page',and clicked on the change your security questions link, but there was no " I forgot my questions box' it just had question that i didnt even know. Then when I went to apple to schedule a call, i found out that they dont have a spot open until next week, so i get to wait an entire week to donload my music............
