«iTunes» has an invalid signature. It will not be installed.» HELP!

When trying to update iTunes from 10.6.1.7 to 10.6.3, I get the message: «iTunes» has an invalid signature. It will not be installed.

When clicking OK, a second message arrives: There was detected an error during the update. If the problem doesn't solve, select Tools > Only downloads and try to download manually.

PS! The messages are translated from Norwegian and can therefore be slighty different to the original English wording.

Any suggestions to solve this will be approved!!!

Mine still does not let me get to the part where you can press save... im at a loss

It says internet explorer is experiencing problems then it throws me off... I think my pc is the problem :-(

the only option I get is to save, but I can't find it aftewrwards. it doesn't get listed as a download in the tools section also. Turned off my firewall and got the same results. Im using firefox

OK I used Internet explorer to save file then the installation worked. If you just click run it won't install because of a invalid security certificate.

Click on the DOWNLOAD link. Instead of clicking SAVE, click on SAVE AS (the arrow to the right of the SAVE button) and pick the desktop to save it to so that you can find the file later. After it dowloads, go to the desktop, right click the file and select "run as administrator".

whenever i try and download the new software 11.1.0 for itunes itdownload but as its about to install it cancles and say signature invalid download is removed!!! what do i do?

If all else fails, the way I fixed the "invalid signature" problem was to use Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer has an option to download anything even if it has an invalid signature. To access this, open Internet Explorer, go to Settings>Internet options>Advanced then scroll down to "Security" and click on the check box by "Allow software to run or install even if the signature is invalid." After that, download iTunes directly from the Apple website via Internet Explorer.

There are probably quicker and easier ways to fix this problem but this should work if all else fails. Hope this helps!

While trying to update iTunes on my computer (windows10) a message came up that said invalid signature it will not be installed!

Go to settings and APPS or programs and uninstall iTunes, then start over. It will install once you uninstall the old version.
