Appstore download buttons not working

Hi Folks,

Since Saturday 23rd June 2012 the iOS Appstore download buttons don't work anymore. 😮

When trying to download an app, after I press the "free" button, the "install" button moves to the side, is rearranged oddly and won't work. I saw where someone suggested just syncing the iPhone with the computer and downloading from there, but I don't consider that as a solution, but only an ugly "patch" to solve a bug that Apple introduced last weekend when they updated the Appstore.

Anyone more suffering these issues? Which device and iOS version are you using? 😕

For you information, many users suffered this kind of problems 6 months ago and after many compaints from us, they fixed it!,... and now Apple did it again 😐

The Apple support rep e-mailed me today for ticket I have open for this issue and said the engineering team has sent this issue to the iTunes store engineering, They are stating it is something that they will look into for a new update. That is all the information they have at this point and they will be getting back to me when they have a resolution which most likely will be in the form of an iTunes store update done at Apple's end.

Once I get more info i'll post on here.

Oh wow, I was breaking my head over this the past couple of weeks!

I have an old iPhone 2G lying around, which I've had for several years. I used it on 3.1.3 for a long time and it worked just fine. However, just tried it again recently and the App Store buttons are messed up. I thought it was the IPSW issue, so I tried restoring with a few other ones. No luck. I was considering downgrading to 3.1.0 or something, but it seemed like the App Store is an HTML5 app or something, so it wouldn't really change anything.

It's good to know that @30apple has heard from Apple about working on the issue - I'll hang on to the iPhone 2G till then!

Also having issues with corrupt app store and itunes... cant lick to buy, install or preview music. its VERY frustrating, and from the looks of things im not the only one. I work in the industry and understand the lengths and depths of cross platform support across operating systems of many varieties... so it pains me to think they are going to just leave things and customers with a technically broken device. It seems unfair and will lost revenue and business across many users and devices. Please fix this apple! Every customer is a valid customer and a happy customer is a loyal customer...

Same problem here - 2 iphones 2G, on v3.1.3 both factory unlocked. Download buttons corrupted on App Store, cannot install new Apps. Tried restoring factory settings (before reading this thread) through latest itunes , didnt work.

Raised a ticket using the link suggested in this thread, and quoted this thread in that ticket.. I got the following reply shortly afterwards..

So Im left wondering why I should make a further call to an advisor to discuss my options? Perhaps they may want to advise me to purchase a new iPhone and ditch the ones I have at the moment?

A more encouraging response would have been "yes sir we are aware of that problem and are looking into a fix"..Perhaps I am expecting too much !?

Genius is back- working again. Disappeared 2x and now back for the second time.

Purchase app button is looking normal - it doesn't break up or change size

& blue or green on successive presses and the little plus sign in the upper

left hand corner is goor. Overall it functions as it should and you can actually

buy an app in all of the Categories as of yesterday.

The "back" button that's needed to easily get back out any app info has disappeared

again. The graphic splash in Info is sizing and scrolling fine again.

So, all in all, some fixes but they forgot the info back button for which

by coincidence when they got it to reappear a short time ago but... when they

made it reappear (at top left) then we lost the purchase button and Genius?

Somebody forgetting something?
