No. I was able to load iSwifter onto his iPad but the program works by launching something called "Showcase 5 Launcher" which also seems to be related to Adobe Air. We can get to his login page but when we try to click on the "launch Showcase player" button which says "a one time install of Adobe AIR is required. Click to install," nothing happens on the iPad. Maybe I'm doing things in the wrong order, but I did go to that page through iSwifter with Flash enabled and nothing seemed to happen. Tried it twice, just to be sure.

I also tried downloading Adobe AIR from the adobe website but it said "sorry - there was an error processing your request." Maybe I'll try again later.

You just brought up Quicken and that's a real sore point with me. Intuit really jammed it to us.

I have Lion so the problem is presumably obvious. Fifteen years of Quicken data down the tubes. The worst part is trying to find a satisfactory substitute. You've got to experiment for six months to decide yea/nay and, if it's "nay" and you change to something else, you lose another six months of data. I'm using iBank right now. It's really crappy but I'm going to stay with it.

Didn't they update Quicken recently to work with Lion?

Yes, in March:

And after I wasted a week attempting to get it to work, I got a refund. I couldn't even create a new empty file. The routine was simple: Open Quicken, crash, open Quicken, crash, open Quicken, crash, ad infinitum. At the time, they even had a web page that acknowledged that it doesn't work!
