How to remove credit card details? "None" option not there.

I have read discussions on how to remove your credit card because I recently deactivated it, however supposedly there is a "None" option to press to take your credit card off, however it does not appear on my computer. I live in the united states. please help

iPod touch, iOS 4.2

You can't do it online but I have been able to change payment option to "none" via the iPod. Go into your Apple Account and select Payment options. None is an available and can be selected.

I do this for my childrens iPods. They give me the money and I then re-enable the creadit card for that purchase. I then change it back to None.

yes you can remove card after 24-48 hours u can selct none ive done it more the 10 times for my brother and i live in oregon i just go to itunes account and choose none its shows up after 24-48 hours the reason why is so just in case you make a purchase apple wants enough time for the purchase to go threw i ve done this on my iphone and brothers ipod touch.
