So in other words, we don't have that freedom to remove a card for no reason? We have to put in one? My god, when I was 15 I didn't need a card information until I hit 18 and decided to make a new account due to security password memory loss and thought we had the right to put on/take off a card for no apparent reason. Is there by chance to call support and have them remove it or is it just really no use at all?

for some god awful reason, you canot remove the creditcard details from the apple store website, you have to use Itunes. I swear apple is trying to make it so you have to google every single task you want to do, just to find out how to do it. Like trying to figure out how to transfer purchases to the computer...... seriously like ***. I also dont even see why you should lose purchases if you wipe a iphones hardrive without transfering the purchases over, I mean it was paid for from your apple id acount think that would be able to keep a record of it.

everytime i tried to open my apple id it shows the session timed out error.

i hate it so much that i lost hope in apple apps.

i entered my CC and purchased 2 items for my nephew.

the next day i went to check on my CC balance at an atm i saw that almost $200 was gone.

$147 for some autopay from CC to sav billed from apple.

Well, I've gotten through page 4 of the thread and was reading pretty much the same repsonses. However, when I ran into this problem when my cc info was compromised...I simply signed into my Itunes account, went to edit my payment info, left the cc number the same, changed the Security Code and also changed the Expiration Date. Therefore, if my cc info got compromised through Apple's site again, all of the cc info is not correct and will not (and should not) process. This was my only solution, as I do not want to create a new ID.

there is one way to remove CC info from your account, though it is drastic, report the card lost/stolen to your bank,

it will break the CC routing, and during your next purchase (of anything) it will fail the transaction, and leave your account in a negative ballance. then clear CC info from a itunes on OSX/other non moble OS (laptop/desktop)

then it should let you select "none." note: you will have to correct the negative balance with an itunes giftcard to continue to recieve OS/app updates, or even to use the appstore at all.

i had to do this as it was just way to easy to nickle&dime your self to death with stupid apps that never seem to support full functionality, alas spaceball2 the quest for more money is all about apple...

hope this helps someone.
