Is iTunes Match down for others? Not responding...

iTunes Match keeps telling me "there was a network connecton problem, please try again later..."

Is anyone else having problems accessing it? Lord I wish I could send Apple a bill for all my lost productivity futzing around with the beta bugging software.

Please be patient.

If this was a free service, then perhaps we would all have a little more patience.

When you have paid money for the privilege of being locked out from your entire music collection, patience wears thin pretty quickly. Made worse by the fact that Apple seem unwiling to even acknowledge that users are experiencing problems.

Definitely agree with you, here. I find it strange that someone would pay for a service and then accept that "these things just happen from time to time". If it was free, I would accept it. But the fact is it's not free. Would I just accept that my cable goes out from time to time? Nope. And not here, either.

Every time the service goes down, I call and put in a case. I want Apple to know that I'm not happy about this and I'm not happy that there is still no acknowledgement anywhere that there's even a problem. Even my cable company isn't this bad -- they'd at least own up if I called them.

That's why I ask you to be patient. I have gone through this for a nuumber of times.

Does any expert know the real cause of such problem? I suspect that the server of iCloud is not big enough to handle such large amount of data uploaded from so many users from the world. I have aleady uploaded 24235 songs and it takes up 170.2G.

That's part of the problem - we are never told root cause.

Here's the main reason why this bugs me. It's working now, and that's great. But since the EO May approximately, matching has been spotty for me. And it's to the point now where, if I get a new album I want to Match, I have no idea how long it will take anymore. Could take 60 seconds, could take 45 minutes, could take a day. That's not the way this should be. If every time I turned on my cable box I wasn't sure if it would work, that would be a problem. If every time I woke up in the AM, got my coffee, went to my PC and wasn't sure if Internet would be working, that would be a problem. I see this Matching issue as no different - I paid for a service that should be up most of the time, not spotty to the point where I wonder if it works on any given day.

Apple, imo, needs to fix this and give us assurances that the service will be stable and, if it goes down, that they ack that and fix it ASAP. And that's not what's been happening for the last 1+ months.

You mentioned yourself that this has happened to you a number of times - that in itself is very telling. It shouldn't be this way, and we shouldn't accept it being this way. Call them up and complain, I have. And I will continue to do so every time the service is out.

Well I was experiencing trouble w/iTunes Match and made the mistake of turning off the match service and trying to turn it back on.

Well, now I get an error message that says this computer is already associated with an apple id.

You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 73 days.

Well, I contacted Applecare and no luck.

So now what?

Thanks.

ITM seems to be down here for me atm. Had problems on and off for a few days at the very least. Hard to tell cause I haven't run iTunes for a little while.

Tried turning off and on, removing my entire music library (after backing up), reinstalling iTunes. Nothing works. This is the only product from Apple I can truly say is worse than anything Microsoft or anyone else has ever come up with. This isn't the first time I've had issues. My music Library is empty at the moment so what information can it possibly be trying to retrieve?! I only wanna match one new album damnit!

Considering the step it constantly freezes on is "sending information to Apple" then this is quite obviously Apple's fault and they need to set up far more servers and ensure their stability.

Interested to say how many hours it takes to sort this out. Or days even..

It has been messing up for me since 6.0.1. I've tried restore, reset network settings, erase all content and settings, erase all settings.

I can get it to work now and again but nothing consistent.

It works on Wifi no problem. On cellular it has issues. I have called Apple and At&t. Neither one had a solution.

I'm at a loss at what to do at this point.
