It matters to those of us that don't like to be manipulated, especially when it's not necessary to do so.

I really like Apple products, they're great, and i would be happy to get the, iPad 3, if I felt it had enough advances to make it worth my while. As it is I think I'll wait for the next one.

But I was under the impression that, Apple cared more about their customers than the average company, and aimed to produce higher quality technology that people could get more thorough use out of. One of the main reasons I purchased an iMac was because I knew many people were still using the same, Apple machine up to almost 10 years after they bought it, which is more than I could expect from the several rubbishy windows pc's I had experienced previously, maybe they couldn't run the very latest software, but they certainly weren't losing out on new software after 12 months, as far im aware.

Sure you could say that the ipad2 still does what it did when we bought them, and if there was a genuine and logical reason why the iPad 2 is not able to run SIRI, then most would accept it, after all technology is progressing faster and faster.

But they could at least offer a good explanation as to why this is happening, rather than leave people to imagine the worst. which if they don't offer that explanation, is what people will reasonably think. Or leaving it to snappy little know it all people on forums to blindly defend their every move.

We are just fellow users here. If you want to ask for answers from the source, ask them. There's a 'contact us' link on the bottom right corner of every page. Only apple knows for sure, everyone else just speculates and makes their best guess.

And if peoples' best guesses aren't what you want to hear....that's not their fault.

All people here know is that the only iPad that will have Siri at this point in time is the iPad 3.
