office mac blurry on retina display

Does anyone have any ideas on how to deal with Office Mac being so blurry on the new retina display? So frustrating! Want to take it back. Love the computer so far though!

I downloaded Microsoft Office in January of 2014. Both ribbon bar and text in documents very fuzzy and retina display clearly NOT supported by microsoft office.

I'm now updated to version 14.3.9 of microsoft office and the retina display is now working for all office applications.

That is the fix, but ...

Clearly ridiculous that I can download microsoft office, direct from microsoft, and it needs to be updated before it works properly ! Obviously any download from a major software company should always be the latest version.

If you are having problems with retina in microsoft office, solution is to click 'update'

No - it does not consistently make use of the full retina capability. As you say some aspects like the style icons have not been upgraded. Most, but not all, is retina.

Given the premium price of the product, I think Microsoft needs to do a better job with regards office and retina screen compatibility. Also I don't think it is satisfactory that a download direct from the website of a major company is not the latest version.

At least the update fix improves most of the display, which is very disapointing before updating.

Powerpoint for me is still blurry for me on retina. I'm running 14.3.9, have uninstalled, reinstalled, updated, did the copy-to-desktop fix, did the terminal date-trick fix, ensured unchecked box in powerpoint to not run in low res. All this but still I have blurry menus, decks, and certainly graphics. I have no idea if the images in the decks I do in powerpoint end up being actually blury or now, so I print to pdf to be sure. It's a pain in the neck for me, as I use powerpoint daily. All my other office apps are fine, all run high res and are clear.

Any tips anyone? help!
