restore itunes to earlier date for older backup

Hi ..

I just had my iphone4 upgraded to the latest os .. prior to the upgrade, i synced my contacts and noted using outlook ... however, after the upgrade, when i tried to restore, nothing happened ... so i kept trying, until i discovered that my old backup have been changed to a different date (after the upgrade) ... which means my old backup is gone! is there any way i can restore an older backup? can i do a system restore of itunes or something? help!!!!! by the way, i am using windows 7 ... thanks!

I want to restore backup from my recent iphone (that got stolen) to my old iphone. However, when I plugged in my old iphone if back uped it self as the newest back up. The back up file from my iphone that was stolenappears in Edit -> Preferences -> Devices. However, this is the only file that does NOT appear in "restore from backup." How do I make that file appear there so I could sync my most recent info.

Hey, @randers4 good morning. My old back [February 1st, 2013] has been replaced by today's backup [February 6th, 2013]. I found the old backup [February 1st, 2013 in the appdata folder in my computer files, but I'm just not sure how to move in to iTunes. Do you mind helping me? Please.

If you option-click (on a Mac) or shift-click (on a PC) the Restore button, you should be given an option to select a previous back-up to restore from.

Go onto iTunes, right click on your device on the left-hand side bar, and their should be an option 'Restore From Backup', or something similar, click that and it'll restore your iPhone to a previous backup.

What if you get the "iPhone couldn't restore due to corruption"? That might be because of a difference in the iOS or simple because the previous backup process wasn't fully successful. Then I might recommend you to take a look at the iPhone Backup Extractor. Also I would love to see you picking up such a subject, how we can deal with corrupt backups. Cheers!

Hi.

i just buy a new iPhone 6.before that,i have back up my iPhone on my laptop.when i wanted to back up my Iphone i can't back up my phone on this computer. when i go to Preference>Devices, the last date i back up is there. the problem is in middle of the line, there is a pad lock icon. when i right click it nothing happened. how i am going to get my older back up. help me.
