Cannot find the generation of my Ipod Classic 120GB

Hi,

I recently bought this Ipod Classic from a person on Ebay but he didn't list the Generation and I'm trying to find out what it is.

My serial number is: 8k91****c7

Only the late 2009 6th gen second revision can update to 2.0.4. The earlier Classics are stuck at the version you have.

Btw, Apple lossless is the exact same as flac right/

No, it is not the same, as the encoding are different, Apple Lossless are more suitable for Apple devices. and most other media players prefer FLAC.

Sound Quality wise, if you installed FLAC player in your Mac, the FLAC will sound the same as the Apple Lossless, as both are Lossless.

And sorry, I wont be responding to this post anymore, as your direction is getting skewed and out of iPod Classic context, and I'm not the right person to answer them.
