My New iPad's screen is flickering after 30min of usage
My New iPad's screen is flickering after 30min of usage and needs to reboot to work properly. Is it a SW or HW problem? Anyone got this same issue?
iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 5.1.1

I'm sure it's the CSR Racing... apple gave me a replacement and i had to reinstall everything from scratch as well. after playing CSR Racing again, it started happening again. next time it happens, i'm going to erase CSR to see if the problem goes away.
CSR should fix this issue!!
Hi Alex
I got the same problem (Cause my husband play CSR Racing too.....><)
Originally, we think that we just had a bad luck, so we got the FLICKERING ipad
So, we went to apple store to change a new one home
But, after two day, the same problem came out
Then I saw your share
I am having problems with the CSR Racing app on the Iphone4. It will not open and just has a black screen. When the app does not function I have noticed that all of the apps that require "Location Services" also will not function correctly. (ie: maps, weather, gas buddy.) When CSR Racing functions properly all other apps work correctly. I have sent in many help desk requests with no reply. Has anybody else noticed this on the Iphones?
I have had my ipad a little over a week, a friend has had his for about a month he never had a problem with it, i told him about this "amazing game" CSR Racing, we both had the same problem when we installed the game, if you reboot it stops, he deleted the game and has no problems, i think its safe to say this app is the problem.
Guys it's the Application CSR Gaming. I know it's an amazing game. But still until the developers comeup with an update or something just don't play it. Uninstall if you can. it's not worth the ipad isn't it ?
I've just been to apple store where genius did a dfu restore (iOS and firmware) after seeing screenshots of big blank parts of screen and experienced a graphics issue in couple of apps.
It wasnt ntil afterwards when I realised that this started since Monday when I installed CSR. After playing it for a while it would change my car back to black and I would loose all my custom paint jobs etc but never linked that to the other apps issues.
Genius thinks it is most likely software but it's logged now and if it happens again their replace the hardware!
I am going to check online before downloading any apps in future
Actually, I have experienced iPad3 screen flickering despite the fact I am not playing games, nor do I have CSR Racing on my iPad at all. For whatever reason, I've only seen the flicker in the FaceBook app, and it only flickers rarely, and when it flickers, it is only a tiny rectangular area on the left side of the screen. Moving the screen around with my finger immediately stops the flicker, but it then returns when I let go. But if I jump to different areas of FaceBook in the FB app, there is no flicker. And again, I've not seen this in other apps. It's very strange.
I checked out this thread as a result of a google search. I have the ipad 4, don't have and have never had this CSR game, but ram experiencing this flickering. It seems to start after the ipad has been on a few minutes, and seems fairly random. I notice the most when I am scrolling through things like news apps, in a few photo apps, stuff like that. Not a huge game player, but do have a few, noticed the flickering was pretty bad in "the room" (it's a puzzle game). It basically seems like anything where the screen changes a lot, it flickers. Do not have this issue on my non retina iPads (1 original, 2 2's, and a mini- all running most up to date iOS, the original being the only one not on 6).
I just gt the ipad 4 32gb Verizon. Today it started flickering blue. The first time was while reading a new email. Now it does it randomly while using the browser.
Only was to clear this is to do a hard reset (power button and home button). It boots up clean, but after sometime will start flickering again.
Anybody else seeing this issue??
Thanks,
Sam
I have had my iPad2 for three months and have used it almost daily. The flickering just started, but seems to be random, and not easy to pinpoint as to cause. It goes away after a hard reboot.. No CSR racing or graphics intensive games on this machine. I'll keep posting if it continues...
OK, as an update...I did update CSR after they intially issued that first update some time ago and no longer had any issues with the game causing the screen to flicker. I did the latest update and the report is...no new issues. I'm happy with it.😎
I see the same flickering issue with my new i-pad. I see everyone's reporting the issue but none telling us how to resolve the issue. There are replies mentionning us to kill the app, reboot. But I guess they are just a temporary work-arounds. I think this is more of a hardware issue. Can you please give me pointers on how to contact Apple services (India), shouldn't we have the device replaced for this issue (I am still under the warranty cover) this definitely looks like a serious problem to me.
For the first time that I've noticed, I got a flash like lightening on my iPad Mini's screen. I woke it up from sleep mode and was in the Kindle app, and a bright seam of light flashed across the screen. It didn't happen again and I have not noticed it since. I wonder if my kids damaged the screen when I wasn't watching, but it appears to be working fine. Anyone else have this experience?
