I had this problem a while ago, it turned out that there was a conflict with another program, namely Nero which I usually use to copy discs. I uninstalled Nero and iTunes and then reinstalled iTunes first and Nero second. This solved my problem. If you have any other burning software I suggest you try my method. Otherwise it is probably a registry fix which I don't want to mess with on someone else's machine. If you google for a fix you should be able to find it.
