iPod Nano 6th Generation Pedometer

I have a brand new iPod Nano 6th Generation, which has the built in Pedometer into it. For some reason, when I go to use it with Nike+ and syncing it to iTunes it doesn't work. None of the Walks I have done actually go onto the Nike+ website. Nike+ claims I have no devices.

I have it set to Automatically Send to Nikeplus.com

I already have a Nike+ account, and I have alone tried to sync walks. It claims there sync'd, and I click Visit Site, but it takes me to http://nikeplus.nike.com/plus/?token=blahblah=2&wtype=pedometer, but then I click around and there are no devices. šŸ˜Ÿ

I have a nano6.

I am not able to synchro.

But reading Nike guide on the nano6 I have found that, you can read it on this discussion:

ipod nano and nike plus

or :

ā€œNike+ Active is taking a break.

The site will be down while we move to the new Nike+. Your steps, runs and gym workouts are safe and sound. When Nike+ Active returns this fall, your data will be there -- on a platform that lets you do more than ever before. Thanks for conquering the world with us, and, in the meantime, check out the new Nike+.ā€

Is this the answer? It is so...big that I am not even convinced. Have they closed the site for 2 month or more just to develop a new site!?

Same issue her. I've only tracked walks on the nano and no runs. I just tried a quick test (added a run to the nano) and ONLY the Run will sync. Prior to the new nike+ site update a couple months ago, all walks were updated. Looks like a problem with the Nike+ site!

saw this on facebook, looks like we'll have to wait till Fall. Nike+ Active is being updated currently and is down.

WHAT NIKE+ ACTIVE UNAVAILABILITY MEANS FOR IPOD NANO (6TH GENERATION) USERS

iPod nano pedometer users will not be able to sync pedometer data during the period of Nike+ Active unavailability. When Nike+ Active support returns in the fall, you will be able to sync your stored pedometer data.

Alright, what kinda of PROFESSIONAL company is this? they just shut down a site while they work on the new one? Imagined if Facebook was going to release say, Facebook 2.0, they would shut down the main site for 3 months? Wow!

I just think its dumb that I bought this iPod the day I posted here, and now i cant use it for one of its main features.

I have just called nike+ UK support today - they still have no time frame as to when the pedometer data will be synced to the Nike+ site!!! I told the guy it was ridiculous and Nike need to get their finger out and get it sorted. I have also tweeted to @nikesupport I'll post what their reply is!

From http://support-en-us.nikeplus.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/36812/p/3169,3171

"At this time, pedometer workouts cannot be uploaded to nikeplus.com through iTunes. Depending on your specific configuration (iPod nano generation, iTunes version, etc.), you may receive either an error message or no response if you attempt to upload pedometer data.

The Nike+ team may create an upload option for iPod nano pedometer users in the future. We appreciate your patience as we work to implement this option, and we encourage you to keep tracking your steps in the meantime."
