duplicate contacts on iphone

Yeah it seems people are not getting it. The only duplicates are on the iphone, not in the icloud, not in itunes not in outlook.

On the iphone, probably on the ipad, though i havent checked. As far as i can tell this happened after the recent last update.

Thanks so much for this post. I've been tearing out what little hair I've got, trying to get this fixed. Your solution is simple and effective. The only addition I would make would be to back up your phone to both your computer and iCloud, and to create a Contacts Archive as a backup on the Mac to give you almost foolproof protection if something goes wrong!
