As far as i can tell the Novamedia plugin just enters the entries into the metaclass.plist file that you can do yourself manually using text editor. this may save yourself time, but you can do it your self for a saving of EUR 10.

This is why Novamedia only works with iSync 2.2 as this version is a full SyncML client and previous versions are not and require a client downloaded to the phone.

I have iSync working with N71-1 N80-1 and newer phones just by editing the metaclass.plist file...

First off thanks for all the hard work from everyone taking part in this thread. I have managed to get it working with no aparant problems so far. To make life simpler for anyone else I have uploaded the two files needed to make this work. They can be found on my personal idisk in the public folder here:- http://idisk.mac.com/the_reamer-Public?view=web

Simply unarchive the folder and drop the two contained files in this location:-/Applications/iSync.app/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice /
Contents/PlugIns/PhoneModelsSync.phoneplugin/Contents/Resources/

It should then work with no probs. Good luck.

With 10.4.6, the patch to MetaClasses.plist for N80-1 did not work properly for me 😟 Syncing aborted part way through ("reset by phone" at different points each time) and strangely the number of items to sync reported by phone does not match up with the number of contacts in my address book (364, some with images). Syncing does not even get to calendar sync. Syncing with my Sony Ericsson T610 works fine.

Undo patch to MetaClasses.plist, update to 10.4.7, N80 is still not supported by iSync :-((

(this forum doesnt have 10.4.7 as a OS version choice yet either)

I have this working using a Nokia N71 (Nokia N71-1) ok. I also have it working on N80. This is after the new update has been installed, I just had to reapplying the changes to metaclasses.plist (do not use the old version of metaclasses.plist otherwise things will not work, modify the new one)

Make sure your timezones are sent correctly on all computers you use and Daylight savings is set to automatic, otherwise you will get strange behaviour of appointments out of sync.

It would be good if Apple adds tcpip sync capabilties over USB to iSync

Hi all

I know this is a little off topic but I have been trying to get my laptop to make an internet connection using my Nokia N80's Bluetooth connection but had no luck.

Has anyone managed to set this up and can you tell me how to do it and what the settings are i.e GPRS CIP string, username, passward and telephone number?

I am on the Orange UK network, any help would be really appreciated.

Cheers
